  • Question
How can I get to be a positive person and raise my hand up without fear?
    Community Answer
Remember that it is okay if your answer is wrong or your question may seem simple. Everyone is in class to learn. Don't worry about what other people will think of you.
  • Question
What if I feel like I'll get embarrassed if I ask a question about a concept everyone else seems to understand?
    Community Answer
It's normal to worry about that, but it's really no big deal. I can assure you that no one will care, and most likely there will be someone else in the class who had that same question and felt too shy to ask. Asking questions is an important part of learning, and you should never feel embarrassed to not know/understand something.
  • Question
Will after school classes improve my grades in school?
    Community Answer
They can, you just need to make sure you focus and pay attention. Don't just go and be there, engage in the class.
  • Question
Will getting to school early help me improve my grades?
    Community Answer
Yes, as long as you pay attention and take good notes in class. Showing up to class on time means you won't miss any important announcements at the beginning, such as what is likely to be on next week's test, and the teacher will see that you're making an effort and be much more willing to help you out. Some classes also factor attendance into your final grade; if this is the case, arriving punctually every time can also bump your grade up a little.

  • Question
What do I do if I am forced to clear a subject exam that I have no interest in?
    Community Answer
Accept the fact that this is something you have to do, and do your best to get it done. Since you don't need to ace the exam, you simply need to pass it, put in enough work to do so. Get some friends together for a study group so it's less boring. Reward yourself with dinner at a fancy restaurant or something when you finish the exam.
  • Question
How do I not waste time on the computer when I should be studying instead?
    Community Answer
If you are using you computer for work, force yourself to only open tabs that you are using for your work. Also refrain from listening to music with words, because this tends to distract people. If you don't need your computer to study, then put it in another room.
  • Question
How can I improve my studies if my teacher doesn't have any energy to teach?
    Community Answer
Firstly, do not stress! Borrow notes from a good friend. Refer to the textbook or other notes you have. There are many wonderful videos on YouTube to help you get through that topic. Most importantly, talk to your teacher one-on-one if you have any doubts and be sure to keep a positive attitude.

    Community Answer
Pay attention in class and take notes. If your teacher allows, you can look back at your notes before an exam/test. Very few tests allow students to use their notes and/or textbooks.
  • Question
How can I stop being shy in class and afraid to ask questions?
    Community Answer
Your shyness will fade away naturally over time. While you're waiting for that to happen, practice being talkative around friends and family. Also, remind yourself that your participation in class will be seen positively by some of your classmates, and those other classmates don't matter too much.
