Generally, about 20% of the people who RSVP to Facebook events actually show up. So, just because someone responds with "Yes" to a Facebook invite doesn't mean that they'll actually attend the event.

How can I invite my friends to an event that someone else created?

This can only be done if the creator of the event allowed this option. If someone organizes a party at home, for example, the host understandably wants to control who will show up and how many people are invited. A host who just allows anyone to invite other guests risks getting overrun by dozens of guests.
