Try to desensitize him to you leaving. You can do this by getting ready to leave the house, stepping out the door for 10 seconds, then immediately returning. Gradually increase the amount of time you leave until your dog no longer feels anxious.

Try holding a small treat like a small cube of cheese or a small piece of cold meat in your enclosed hand and allow him to sniff it. As he is sniffing the treat, lower your hand to the ground and slightly towards while saying the command "down". This will make him lower his head and reach forward, which will make him lay down. Once he is down, give the treat immediately. Repeat this a few times everyday and he will soon get the message that if he lies down he will get treats. Also praise him with "good boy".

I used to own a pug puppy but to get it to sleep, I would let it lick my hand. I'd lie on my bed and let my hand hang down and the puppy would lick it. It worked for me.

How can I close my door without all of my animals (cats and dogs) crying?

Give them a special toy, such as a Kong, that you can put treats in, or something like peanut butter. As for the cats, put a few treats around the house like a scavenger hunt (somewhere high up so the dogs can't get to them). This should distract them for a while. Make sure you don't react to the animals crying. When they eventually realize you're not going to let them in, they'll quiet down.
