  • Question
What should I do if my computer says that the boot manager is missing after I shrank my C: drive?
    Community Answer
You most likely wrote over the MGR and need to replace it. You can either manually fix it by inserting the correct entries, or backup your files and reinstall windows. A fresh installation should be the best fix.
  • Question
After doing partition of my HDD with Windows 7, my Windows gets corrupted and won't start again. What should I do?
    Community Answer
If you can access the BIOS, reinstall windows via probably a USB drive. Considering you can't boot into Windows, that would be the best option. If you cannot, I would take your computer back to where you bought it from.
  • Question
How do I reformat a laptop?
    Cameron Paxton
    Community Answer
There are 3 ways that I know of. One: remove the battery and there is a button that should say "Factory Reset" and that should do it. Two: if not, it's in the Settings. Three: if that doesn't work, then you can call a tech company, and have them do it for you.

Is it possible to allocate the space from my D drive to my C drive?

Of course, yes. If you partition your D drive, that adds space back to your C drive.
  • Question
How do I make multiple partitions on a new hard drive?
    Community Answer
Install Seagate Diskwizard or Aomei Backupper and follow the directions. That is the most simple way. The Diskwizard is free for download and the partitioning section is a trial but it works well for this.

Buy and add more RAM, as this occurs due to the fact that the system has less RAM then required.
  • Question
How can I add unallocated space from two different drives to the combined amount of available space on my C: partition?
    Community Answer
Open the Disk Management. Then, right click the C drive, click Extend Volume. Then, you can get into the extend volume wizard and merge C drive with unallocated space.
  • Question
If it's possible to move space from the D drive to C drive, then why for me it's says that Windows is corrupted? How can I manage that?
    Rudy Toth
    Community Answer
You can't move space from one drive to another, it doesn't work that way. You can, however, have two drives... one being the "master" drive and the other being a "slave" drive equal in GBs. For example, both drives can be 256GB each to total of a 512GB computer. However, you would need a single bus line with two drive jacks, and you need to change those jumpers' pins on the back side of the two drives too. If your Windows states that Windows is corrupted, then you need a technician to solve your problem (like a computer repair shop). Last suggestion is to start reading books on computers.
  • Question
How do I increase my drive C space?
    Rudy Toth
    Community Answer
It really depends on how much of a HD capacity drive you might have in GBs. If your computer has a 256GB drive, then you don't need to increase the size of your drive for C:\. Since you have plenty of free space to park your incoming new programs or games. Windows decades ago use to have a program called CVF (Compressed Volume Files) that would be like 10 decks of playing cards being compressed. But if you tampered with a CVF file? You would flood your computer with millions of pages. So, I think already your computer has a good amount of space so far.
