Pagan cleansing rituals exist to help, obviously, cleanse things. Pagans like to cleanse the energy of things before using them, lest bad energy corrupt them.

  • Question
What if I can't burn white sage?
    Community Answer
If you need to cleanse a place from evil influences or even a spirit without burning sage, you have several options. If you have sage but you can't burn it, you can rub it on the item or place you wish to cleanse. If not, you can do the rice and salt ritual. First, and this step is only if there is an influence waiting to feed on your feelings, you should "feed the ghosts" by throwing rice like you were feeding hens. Then, go out and leave it for a few hours. When you are back, banish the sated spirit by throwing salt, not like you are feeding, it but rather like you're throwing stones at it. Say that you banish it, and work from the bottom to the entry door to push it out.

  • Question
My workplace has very bad energy and entities. We can all feel them all the time, even see them. My desk is open to the room. Quitting my job is not an option. How do I keep them away from/off of me?
    Community Answer
If you're allowed to, burn sage. That will cleanse the air. If you're not allowed to, use salt or salt and rose petals and cast a small protection circle or a cleansing spell. You could also try a banishing incantation. Sometimes telling the entities they are not welcome can get rid of them. Sometimes the spirits are invited there or are attached to an object. Find out how they were welcomed into the area and remove that object or way of entering. Bloody Mary chants can invite spirits in, as well as Ouija board use and other activities.
