    Expert Answer
Plumerias are tropical plants, so they won't survive temperatures below 35°F. If you live in a region that gets cold temperatures, you can keep your plumeria in a pot and move it inside when the temperatures dip. Or, you can pull up your plumeria and let it go dormant over the winter with the roots bare.

You first start off by dipping the ends into a rooting hormone and then pushing them halfway down into a pot full of potting mixture. The stick may need to be braced up with a stake for support. Once planted, water it immediately, and then let it dry out for a few weeks to prevent over-watering and the forming of rot.
