    Is www.mac.us.com the real site?
    Community Answer
I would advise not to trust it. I tried to search it and got redirected several times to various ad sites. Not a good sign.
  • Question
How do I find out if it its a knockoff MAC brush?

If you got it off of eBay, LightInTheBox, AliExpress, Wish or Craig's List, it's probably a fake. It's hard to tell if it's fake or not if you got it off of Amazon because some brands sell on Amazon. If you still want the brush, go into a MAC store with the brush and ask if it's real or ask if you can compare it to the real brush. For future purposes, it's best to buy beauty products on-site from the company to ensure they're genuine.

How do I spot other brands' fake cosmetics products?

To avoid this completely, shop at places like Sephora, Ulta, Walgreens, Target, directly off the brand's official site and stand-alone stores. If you look on the official brand website, you can probably find a list of their official retailers or you can shoot them an email to ask for the list. If you already bought the product and you think it might be fake, take it to a makeup counter and ask them to check it out. Tell them where you bought it and how much you paid for it. If you paid a much lower price than retail, it's a limited edition product from more than a year ago, or a super popular item that sold out fast, it's probably a fake.

I purchased on eBay MAC Prep + Prime Moisture Infusion Serum Hydratant 1.7. The packaging seems right, but the product has a bad smell. I've never purchased before, could this be normal?

Try looking up pictures, or better yet, go to MAC's website to find and compare the details. Usually, fakes have some noticeable differences. Also, check to see if the product has an expiration date.
