    Expert Answer
You can, but don't feel discouraged if you get exhausted and can't keep it up. Try mixing up which muscle groups you work every day so you have some variety and never work the same group two days in a row.

    Expert Answer
One good piece of advice to remember is that urgency leads to action. Create a timeline for accomplishing your goal with a definite date, like a vacation or a wedding or some other event. If you have a date set, you can then begin training immediately. Depending on how far away that day is, you may have to train harder, but having a definite end point in mind will pressure you into staying consistent.
  • Question
How do I get motivated to start working out if I am a couch potato?
    Community Answer
Start slowly but have a clear schedule for each day, and under no circumstances allow yourself to break the schedule. Soon you will work your way up to fitness.
  • Question
I am 12, and I want to work out but I don't want my parents to know. What can I do?
    Community Answer
Start from the bottom. Eat healthy, and drink a gallon of water a day. Work out in your room if you can. Do push ups, and use objects as weights. You can run around your house or, if your school has a track, stay after school to run. Make sure to start slowly and move up from there.
  • Question
Can a 15 year old girl start working out?
    Community Answer
Definitely, although most gyms may not accept those under16, there are plenty of other options. If by working out, you mean getting into shape, school teams and other activities are a great choice. Another is to work out at home, or go for a jog, whatever you do, just stay active.
  • Question
Is a cheat day actually necessary?
    Community Answer
Not necessarily, but it really depends on what your goal is. A cheat day is designated to be a day when you "reward yourself". If your goal is to lose weight, then a cheat day might not be ideal.

  • Question
What is the perfect age for a teenager to join the gym?

You can join a gym at any age! I think the best age for a teenager would probably be around 13-14 though.
  • Question
How do I find out what the best thing to eat and drink to lose belly fat?
    Community Answer
There's no miracle food to make you lose weight. You have to eat lots of leafy greens and lean protein, and stay away from processed foods and sugars. Drink lots of water and unsweetened green tea. Drinking vinegars and kombuchas are also great for your gut bacteria and metabolism.
  • Question
    How do you stay motivated?
    Community Answer
Find routines, workouts and foods that work for you and make you feel good both physically and mentally. Make sure you are working out for the right reasons (e.g. to feel more confident or healthy rather than to look good for someone else) as this can really help with motivation.
