How do I start the paragraph if it's on an article?
    Community Answer
Start with something that will catch your reader's attention and make them want to read more, like a question, famous quote, anecdote, etc.
  • Question
What can I start a paragraph about one of my many goals without saying, "One goal is?"
    Craftsmart
    Top Answerer
Start with a statement that explains the goal. The reader should pick up on the fact that you are listing one of your goals, without the word 'goal'. For example, instead of, "One goal is to graduate college..." write, "Graduating college is an accomplishment that will open doors to more careers...."
  • Question
Is it compulsory to leave two lines before starting a paragraph?
    Donagan
    Top Answerer
No. Old rules have relaxed a bit these days. If you intend to indent the first line of your paragraph (instead of leaving a blank space between unindented paragraphs), choose the indentation that looks right to you. Most people indent at least three but not more than five spaces.
