Sure. Just use the first letters of the phrase or word, but remember to write down what it means later; otherwise, you'll forget what it means. You could also use these: and: & with: w/. Search "abbreviations for notes" and you'll see a list of them. However, it is best to make up your own as they make most sense to you and it can be helpful to have them coded in case someone tries to copy them without your permish.
