Keep in mind, however, that a small amount of hair fallout is normal.

QuestionI have been sleeping with coconut oil in my hair overnight for a few nights at a time, use Aussie conditioner and never use heat on my hair. It is still really dry and puffy, what can I do?Community AnswerLeaving oil in hair for a long time attracts dust and might not benefit your hair that much. Also, try hot oil treatments once in a while (wrapping your hair in a hot towel after oiling). Apart from this, if you're not averse to the smell, apply curd for 30-45 mins (it works even better when mixed with soaked and mashed fenugreek seeds). While doing any of these, don't forget to cover your hair so as to not let the curd dry or it might make your hair brittle.

The next morning, put a very small amount of coconut oil in your hair and lather it all over. QuestionWhat can I do if I did a hot oil treatment several days ago and left it on my hair for an hour, but my hair is still dry?Community AnswerOils are not created equally. Coconut and jojoba oils penetrate into the deepest layers of each hair strand when left in long enough. I've read as long as 18 hours for full penetration. The amount of shampooing it takes to remove the oil may make it appear counterproductive, so try a silicone-free deep treating hair mask or one of the DIY hair masks. See if that makes a difference. Use one you apply to clean shampood hair and then rinse out (without shampoo), then apply a good leave in or detangler that has continual moisturizing properties for best results.

QuestionMy hair had been straightened regularly, and now it's damaged. I want my wavy hair back. What can I do?Community AnswerDo sort of a "hair rehab." To, start, stop using heat. Heat is going to kill your wave pattern. Start washing your hair with a natural shampoo, as they are generally more gentle and better overall for your hair. Each week, use a deep conditioner and really focus it on the ends. When you get out of the shower, put a light oil (I prefer argan oil) on the ends of your hair. I prefer showering at night so I can let my hair air dry a bit, then braid it (French/Dutch braids work best) and got to bed. I would leave the braids in for a day or two, then take them out and you should have lovely wavy hair!
