It is usually best (and cheapest) to contact the carrier directly and ask them to send you the unlock codes. This usually requires 90 days of active service on the network to qualify for this free service. Don’t get caught up in those “you mail us your phone and I’ll unlock it” scams and be careful who you give your IMEI to, as they can clone your IMEI Number and hijack your service and personal info.
