Remove uploaded contacts from Facebook
Do you want to turn off Facebook's access to your phone contacts? Before you can fully delete contacts from Facebook, you'll need to turn off "continuous contact uploading". Luckily, this will only take a few steps. Here's how to unsync contacts from Facebook using your computer, iPhone, iPad, and Android device.

- Open Settings & privacy and select Settings .
- Tap Accounts Center .
- Tap Your information and permissions .
- Tap Upload contacts and select your account.
- Toggle off Upload contacts .
- Tap Learn More to delete synced contacts.

Disabling Continuous Contact Uploading

Tap Settings . A new page will open.

Tap Accounts Center . This is the tile at the top.

Tap Your information and permissions . You can find this under the Account settings header.

Tap Upload contacts and select your account. If you have multiple Facebook accounts linked, you'll see them here.

Toggle off"Upload contacts". The switch will turn grey.
- Once this feature is disabled, you can delete your uploaded contacts using the app or website .
- If needed, you can also remove your phone number from your Facebook account.

Tap ☰ . This will be at the top-right (Android) or bottom-right (iOS).
- Keep in mind that un-syncing contacts from Facebook will not remove any friends from your Facebook friends list. You'll need to unfriend them to remove them.

Click your profile photo at the top-right corner of Facebook. A menu will expand.
- If you're not already signed in to Facebook , you'll need to do so first.
