    It sounds better if you have a different note for each syllable. Say you have the phrase, "And now I know Jesus loves me!" Every word should have it's own notes. But, "And" could have a C, "now" could have an E, and "I" could have a C. Try what works for you. [4]

    The first thing to do is ask the Holy Spirit for inspiration and then keep an open mind. He can use everything and anything to inspire that great song. You should also create an inspiring environment (i.e keep distractions away, read the Bible, keep company with like-minded people, since iron sharpens iron).

    When composing a Gospel or worship song, is it better to try to think of a title first, or let it come out of the song afterwards?

    Let it come out of the song afterwards. I have found that the title usually begins or ends and repeats itself through the song.
