I see Anonymous on the recent changes patrol app. It shows he/she is patrolling 1 second ago, but he/she is not a wikiHow user. When I clicked on Anonymous, it just led to the Anonymous policy, so it is just Anonymous.

Heya Hailey, Don’t worry - I checked the logs, and anonymous folks aren’t patrolling actual article edits. If you saw something in the widget, I think that’d be because there was a change made in how User Kudos are logged, so that they’re getting marked automatically when the user sends them. These kudos messages actually have been set not to go through RCP for a long time (even before the upgrade), because they would drastically clog up Recent Changes (each time someone sends a message, it sends it to everyone who has ever edited on the article - yikes that’s a lot!), so that’s not new. With the upgrade, there was just a little adjustment to how they get logged, so now these “patrols” may be showing up in the widget, when really they’re just from sending a kudos. I’ll investigate whether these edits can somehow be kept out of the widget – but don’t worry, it looks like no actual patrolling is going awry, so all is okay. Thanks for checking!
