I noticed we already had an article on How to Date
and Dating 101 Guide
(with custom title “wikiHow’s Ultimate Guide to Dating”) was written. I feel “How to Date” and “Dating 101 Guide/wikiHow’s Ultimate Guide to Dating” are interchangeable terms. Am I just missing the difference? I know the content is different, but the titles sound interchangeable to me, so aren’t they duplicates?

I think they are similar, although, the Dating 101 Guide has more ‘parts’ and article links for having serious relationships and going past a first date, whereas How to Date doesn’t.

Yeah, that’s right, Nico. But as I mentioned, I do see that the content is different, and I’m asking if there’s something that differentiates the titles that I’m missing.

Hiya Butterfly! That’s a great question. It looks like Dating 101 is trying out a different type of format for the Relationship Hub - it’s more of a guide with a collection of different articles for the reader to go and check out than an actual article itself. It’s almost more like a category page than an article in that respect! The guide is likely an experiment working on our goal of getting readers to check out different pages and articles on wikiHow while they’re here, so they can see that we have more to offer on the subject.
The relationships hub is a project that staff members are actively working on and trying out new ideas for, so we may see some different experiments like this moving forward. As an aside, if anyone has any other ideas to try out, I’d be happy to pass them on!

You mean the Dating 101 Guide serves as a category rather than an article? I see. But we do have a Dating category, right?

I was just musing that it could be seen as being similar to a category page because of the sections that link to a range of articles rather than explaining the process step by step. It’s not replacing the category page
It’ll be interesting to see if readers like this sort of page.

It could also be seen as a page similar to one of Wikipedia’s disambiguation pages - something wikiHow has stood tall to not create pages like.
