I just completed an overhaul on this article here:

Unfortunately, though, I can’t really add too much to this. I’m not asexual, and I’ve never dated someone who’s asexual. I do have basic knowledge of asexual orientations and what asexuality is, but I’ve already put that in the article, and that’s about where my knowledge stops.

Can any asexual wikiHowians, or wikiHowians who have asexual partners, pitch in with this article and help out? I would love to see others with more direct experience be able to expand this article to something much better than I can.

@MissLunaRose , I’m going to tag you in this post, because I’ve seen you do some wonderful work on the LGBT articles here. No pressure to work on it, though.:slight_smile:

Thanks for starting that article!  I learned a bunch just reading it.  Hope the right people can find it and help it grow.

Hah, well, I didn’t start it, I just found it in a horrendously unformatted and barely informative way, but thank you, @JackHerrick .:slight_smile:

Unfortunately, because I’m aromantic, I don’t have any real experience with romantic or sexual relationships. I’m not sure if I could help much.

Okay, I understand.:slight_smile:Thank you anyway.

It seems like this would be a good topic for a sex educator or relationship expert to look at. Does wikiHow have someone like that on our roster of experts?

@Elocina - I think we have some relationship/counseling-focused experts who might be able to help - good idea! I’ll ask Carrie and Michelle - thanks for suggesting it!

Carrie and Michelle?:slight_smile:Do they have accounts too?

They sure do! @Dr.-Carrie and @HiDoctorMic :slight_smile:

@Anna , I still want to know if Carrie has telekinetic powers.:stuck_out_tongue:Also, why do their usernames both imply that they’re doctors?

… Anyways, yeah, that article should probably be checked out by a relationship expert. Thank you for bringing that up, @Elocina .

Hah well I think it’s somewhat coincidental in that it’s just the usernames they thought up when they started on the wiki- but both of them do have PhDs. Don’t worry, they don’t make us call them Doc. They answer to ‘hey you’ just like the rest of us:wink:Perhaps more importantly, Michelle’s is a pretty awesome Simpsons reference. If you don’t know it, search up Hi Doctor Nick:smiley:

 “Don’t worry, they don’t make us call them Doc. They answer to ‘hey you’ just like the rest of us ;)”

LOL XD You gotta love Anna’s sense of humor. And Alex, I was wondering the same thing as well so you’re not the only one. I was gonna ask but I thought better =P

Hi, Everybody!

Just thought I’d chime in and say that  @Anna  was right; a few weeks before I created my wikiHow account, I finished my PhD in English (which mostly just means that I’m a huge nerd).  And my account name is a Simpson’s reference, which might make me an even bigger nerd.:slight_smile:Here’s a clip:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlmECL2ED2I

I appreciate what a good start you made to the topic, @Galactic-Radiance . I will definitely look into getting this article expanded in a helpful and accurate way; thanks for bringing it out so that we can all work together to make it shine!  I’ll be sure to send you a note when we take a crack at it, Alex!

Ohhhh, we have so many cool geeks (compliment BTW haha) working behind the scenes. Really wish there was a way for all of them to give introductions somewhere or maybe announcements when new people get on board.:confused:Welcome to the team @HiDoctorMic :slight_smile:If we ever run into eachother at a wikiMeet, I’ll teach you how to play Dungeons and Dragons so you upgrade to Super Nerd!

@Marina , no, not upgrade. Level up.:stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, thank you for commenting on this thread, @HiDoctorMic - I appreciate it.:slight_smile:Hopefully the article can be expanded much more!

Hahhaha Michelle, I see what you did there:smiley:

That video was funny. I get if. Anyways welcome to wikihow @HiDoctorMic

@Gymnast-7 , Michelle’s not new. I don’t think she needs a welcome.:slight_smile:

Also, I’d like to ask (not just of Gymnast, but of everyone here), can we please try and keep the thread on topic now? As fun as it was to make jokes, it’s clogging my forum notifications with unrelated comments, and I don’t want to have to turn them off. This thread is about a wikiHow article, not The Simpsons.:stuck_out_tongue:

@Galactic Radiance, yeah sorry about that. I accidentally put the wrong person in my text.

ok Alex:slight_smile:I’ll try! I have some asexual and aromantic friends
