Hello! I’m a member of the translation team (English -> Portuguese), and I had my computer stolen last Friday. For security reasons, I changed my password some hours after the theft, only to forget it again. The recover password function wasn’t working, so I was locked out of my account. I sent an e-mail to the support team and my password was reset, and I could login just fine to the account, so I’m able to reserve the articles for translation. The problem is I can’t login to the Portuguese wikiHow, where I must upload the articles. I am logged in all the others wikiHow sites: Italian, Spanish, Chinese, etc., but the Portuguese one, I just can’t. When I try to login over there, it says my password is incorrect. When I try to use my e-mail for the login, the site says it’s an address used by multiple accounts (I have an account linked to my FB page, but I don’t know how to close it). So, bottom line, I can’t login on the Portuguese site of wikiHow. Maybe a bug? I was working on a translation the moment the notebook was stolen on Friday. I don’t know if there’s something to do with it… I’m sorry for posting this after I’ve sent some e-mails, but I really wanna continue working, since I like it very much! Thanks, Mauricio
Hi Mauricio, Allyson here – so sorry about your computer, that’s awful! If you’ve added your email address to multiple accounts, and then proceed to use your email address to log in across different sites, it may not work. The best thing to do would be to log in with your original translator username. I can reset the password associated with your translator account, and will send those credentials to you privately. You should then be able to log in to any site on any language (including Portuguese). Another trick is to log in to the English site in a new browser window, and then open a tab in that same browser and go to pt.wikihow.com
– your login should carryover to the PT site! Best, Allyson
