Former Title: Not really sure this is a bug yet-but could later be. Need someone to research this. I asked for several items to be listed in the Requested Articles. However, when going back to see if any of them are listed, with search term an exact duplicate of the article name requested, none of my article-requests come up. Please verify if my articles come up. Just one of my articles that I requested is(and I have many): Find Long Lost Lingerie in Your Washer and Dryer, Face an Embarrasment After It’s Already Happened. Please research to see if they are shown in any search results. My theory is that for these articles aren’t shown to the author that requested them, but need proof… Can I also suggest a page in the editors options, to keep track of all requests by the author themselves(those being unanswered)…It might take some time to implement, but it might very well be nice, if the author knew of the solution and how to solve in the end… Internet Explorer 9 (and Mozilla Firefox) on Windows Vista SP2 PC.
As far as I know, people cannot add directly to the requests. Rather, any requests they make get sent to a queue to be approved or rejected by an admin or NABer. This page is relatively overlooked so that may be the problem. If you could post the requests you made, I’ll go have a look for you.
Stated within this forum post: Find Long Lost Lingerie in Your Washer and Dryer, Face an Embarrasment After It’s Already Happened (AND NUMEROUS OTHERS)
These requests were made(for at least the one) sometime between February 2011 and December 2011, the other was just requested just recently(within a month ago).
Alright, it’s not in the queue and it’s not a suggested topic. Try suggesting something again and I’ll do a search for it.
I’ll accept them. Please re-request all of the titles. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Don’t have all other old ones nearby. Threw them all in garbage, after acceptance page received. Trash picked up several million times between then and now.
Ah, damn. Well, if they come to mind, feel free to request them and leave me a message so I can accept them. I can also add directly to the requested articles list, if you’d like to go that way. I’ll leave this open in case it was a bug, even though it’s resolved.
You know what? I think someone should rewrite this “acceptance page” for the requested article. A simple: “This article will be added to the Requested articles, as soon as it’s been accepted” should be added, instead of just the words “Thank you for your request.” That means, to me, the article request has been accepted, and, as any other person could tell you, doesn’t that mean it has been accepted too…? This could have prevented me from throwing those slips of paper out…! Also, can the wH system send an email when a request has been accepted into the Requested articles DB?
For second suggestion…:even if email is weekly…or something to combine some.
I was able to find a few article titles. But it’s a short list of about 5-7. Later, I need someone to verify they’ve made the list.
Found all my requested articles in the drop-down list on the computer I submitted most of them from, through all those months and with all these clearing of the cache/history and all… Please verify they now exist:(no need for a screenshot, however)… Potty Train a Late-Booming 5 Year Old Child Potty Train a Late-Booming 4 Year Old Child. I’ve dropped the one, it was a bit on the “inappropriate” side… It was “Make Your Own Adult Blanket Sleeper”…can you people please check for that one too. It could been submitted between today and February 2011…
One more location of more requested articles: Create a Table of Contents for a Word Document Make Caramel Cream Candies
Ok. Xeroxing and filing this scrap piece of paper…
I’ll look for the titles and see to it that they are accepted
If they aren’t there, would you be up for requesting them again?
