I’m actually starting to move away from using my real name online for security purposes. I guess it depends on the job you have or want to have…

More and more, companies are identifying their employees’ or candidates’ online accounts whether the person wants them to or not. They can be secretive about it or not - for example, some companies now force job applicants to list all of their online identities during the interview stages. If technology is the future, one’s online identity will end up following him/her throughout life in the future, just like one’s social security number now… Very good point though. And thanks for letting us know, @Oliver .
