This is a new role play for anyone, even those who
A.) Have never done role play before (me :P)
B.) Have no idea what role play is, but are willing to make mistakes and get corrected (also me)
The rules are simple:
-
Keep it clean: no foul language, no … *ahem*…*chokes*… Uh… well, if you have to think twice, maybe don’t post?
-
Keep it kind.
-
No mushiness!
-
Have fun!!
i have done role play before and I can help… sorta
Here are the rules I know of Role play.
Well first of all, it’s always fictional but there are many kinds of role play, you can have romance and drama, horror thriller, fantasy adventure, all sorts of things! Pretty much all genres of literature, games, films and TV can be turned into role play! But since this is wikihow, it would be incredibly difficult to keep in sync, synchronisation is an important key in most role play but I think we can manage, maybe. I think it would be best to stick with only one kind of role play, to avoid confusion.
The second thing is a prologue, it needs an introduction first (i’m not sure if this is entirely true but most role plays have a prologue so…).
Thirdly, take turns in everything and work together to create your story, teamwork is important too. You will need scenery, some characters both main and secondary (non-main), protagonists and antagonists and some dialogue… you know, everything that a story has but it’s different. You have to take turns and work in a team all at the same time. You can do solo role play but what fun is that? Role play is much more interesting the more people that get involved but as i said, sync will be hard because it’s a forum but we can do well despite the different timezones.
You want it clean? Sure let’s add that to the rules too, the rules of role play change depending on the type of role play you wanna do. Let me know what you want and I will help further
So, like telling a story? Hmm… Adventure story!
So, the story starts out with a bunch of people going on a search for the Forrest Fenn treasure in the Rocky Mountains (note: this is a real thing. Look it up). It’s hidden really well.
I am an inexperienced treasure hunter, but I really want to find the treasure, so that I can pay for my little brother’s heart surgery (I don’t actually have a little brother, FYI, but it’s a story, right?) I am trying to get a team together to go with me.
*Walks to city hall and tacks up a poster about coming with me*
*really cute girl reads sign and sees guy puting them up* hey sir can i join you on your journey
*Turns around and starts laughing* Yeah, but if you call me “sir”, then I’ll have to call you Marcie. My name is Joanna (note: this is not my real name, but somewhat close). Have you done anything like this before?
yes i climbed mount evrist
*Sets backpack on the ground and starts shuffling through papers* *Pulls out a huge stack of them* Here you go. Just sign here, here, initial here, read this-
*thumbs through pages again, nearly dropping them in the process*
Here, here, right there, put your age and date of birth here, write the date here, sign this, check through these boxes, fill this, this, this, and this form out, and we should be good to go! *Smiles cheerfully*
No too much paperwork for this, just a bunch of information and waivers, so if anything happens, you can’t prosecute. Got it? *hands Sophie the giant stack of papers*
When you finish those, just leave them at my office- oh wait, here you go! *Hands Sophie a business card* Contact me if you need anything, and I’ll let you know when I get more people!
i don’t need these *pulls paper shredder out of her backpack and puts them in* no one has ever offered me this chance so i promise to not sue you and if we survive this we will be best friends
*in mind thinks * {yay im going on a adventure with a cute guy
}
*looks shocked* Uh… some of those papers were the map and clues to find the treasure.
Also, why do you have a paper shredder in your backpack?
oops sorry and
my backpack is like a emergency kit it has everything a house does
*Looks impressed* Wow, that must be heavy! About the maps and stuff, it’s fine, I’ll just go make more copies. Those were just printouts from google maps, and the clues were from the internet too.
*Zips up backpack and puts it on* Well, I’ve gotta go recruit more people. Here’s your packing list and stuff *hands them a notebook* Meet me here in a week, and then we’ll head out. See ya!
