I’ve dabbled in writing music but I can’t really seem to make a really good piece. I really want to make a really good piece for something but it’s hard to get any ideas.
Yeah, I always feel like everything in the world has already been composed! It seems so hard to come out with something completely individual and new.
It’s like, I come out with this new, pretty piece on the piano, and I’m just beginning to feel proud of myself when I realize I didn’t even make it up! lolAll my compositions are starting to sound the same.
Sooo, I started doing piano covers of music I liked! Have you ever tried that? Might give you some good ideas

I’m working on a Pirates of the Caribbean Medley right now that I composed strictly by ear from watching the movie and listening to the music. It’s super fun!
I have a couple compositions that weren’t based off anything, but I’m running out of ideas! Aaahh!!
