’s 15th wikiBirthdayand I think that deserves some BIG wikiLove! It’s not often that someone celebrates a wikiVersary like this, so let’s take some time to appreciate Eric and all of the ways he’s contributed to and impacted wikiHow.
Eric, you’ve always shown genuine kindness, understanding, and an amazingly calm demeanor in all that you do and contribute to wikiHow. I’ve only been here to witness a small part of it, but with over 122,000 article edits and 233,000 edits patrolled you’ve definitely been a force around here! Your wikiGnoming helps everything run smoothly, and you have a wonderfully positive presence in the community. It’s so admirable that you’ve continued to help work towards this crazy mission we all have for 15 years. You are an inspiration to many, and your dedication is something to be incredibly proud of.
The wikiHow community is so lucky that you choose to spend some of your free time around here.

15 years is such an amazing milestone for you Eric! You’ve been so tightly involved with the project for the longest time, and the dedication you have for helping wikiHow’s mission move forward with each contribution is truly an inspiration. Personally, I’m extremely grateful to have crossed paths and become good friends with you, because I know you genuinely have a kind spirit and a caring heart.

Thank you, everyone, for your very kind words of thanks and encouragement. The community on wikiHow is really like no other you’ll find online, and one of the neat things about wikiHow is that we take the time to share gratitude with others. I for one am very grateful to each of you for the many contributions you’ve made and the value you bring to this project.
The main reason I continue to remain involved in this project is the laser focus on the Mission and the Vision:
Imagine a world where anyone can easily learn how to do anything. A world where access to comprehensive step-by-step instructions in multiple languages enables billions of people to improve their lives, in both ordinary and extraordinary ways. That’s the world we want to create.
At wikiHow, a community of knowledge philanthropists are collaborating to create this world. We are driven by a shared passion to create a high-quality collection of how-to guides. We keep improving each article until we think it has become the single most helpful set of step-by-step instructions available on that topic anywhere.
While we recognize that this ambitious goal will take years to accomplish, we take pleasure in knowing that we already help millions of people every day.
When there are many outside forces and things happening in the world that contribute to divisiveness, it’s really heartening to have a project like this that draws people together with a shared purpose and shared value.
Looking forward to many more years with this wonderful community!
