I thought this could help us get to know each other a little better (if you so choose). What are the tab(s) that your browser opens up with?

Mine are: * My user page on wikiHow * Gmail * Facebook * Flickr * NAB 1 * NAB 2 * NAB 3

My customized version of the Chromium Browser opens with the following tabs open, in the following order. *Google *Stack Overflow *XDA-Developers *wikiHow - Main Page *wikiHow - Forums *Gmail - Email from Google *CodeProject *Java Documentation *WPCentral *The Verge *Pocketnow *W3Schools *Modem and Router Configuration *Wikipedia - The Free Encyclopaedia *Arqade

Quora, Gmail, university email, wikipedia, wikiHow (dev), wikiHow (prod)

Opens up like you start the browser? Only Google’s homepage. Yes, I’m lamesauce. =P

AFAIK Google Chrome has the option to start up with the tabs you last had open:slight_smile:

Although my browser doesn’t open up in any “tabs” (I never liked using them from the beginning of IE 10 and 11 in Windows 8 and 8.1), I’m using the pinned websites in my taskbar. From my taskbar I have quick access to my browser, my mail program (Windows Live Mail), the Bing Desktop program (I have a problem with the program not loading though it’s preferences are set to load every time I login to my account), wikiHow, Yelp, YouTube, Goodreads, Remember the Milk, (I just added Craigslist), Skitch, Evernote and finally Pidg.in! (Quite a lot, I’m sorry). What I do open up as a home page in my Internet Browser is Bing, but because the one Bing Toolbar forces me to keep it as a home page, otherwise it decides to screw me out of one point in my Bing Rewards account. But I love Bing, and can’t seem to get enough of it…it’s simplicity and directness to an answer when I need the answer most, makes it super-appealing!

Firefox ._.

My browser opens up whatever my last session was (which is chrome btw). But I have Chess.com ,Wikihow,Youtube, Facebook and Flipkart in my most frequent’s section. Another question : Why did you choose your usename? Is it because it was your first name? or because there’s a clever/interesting reason behind it?

*high fives for chess.com * That and wikiHow are my two most visited sites, ha.

This is perfect for getting to know each other! Here are the tabs I open most: *My talk page (to answer people!) *The forums *My school website - to check for updates (I am refusing to share the link with anyone, in order to be safe) *Patrol Count page *NAB (to work on the backlog!) *Proposed Redirects for reviewing

Haha, same here. Just the Google Search page. I manually open up any other tabs:wink:

I don’t open up with specific tabs. But the sites I have open most are: *wikiHow, of course. My tabs are generally my contributions, the recent changes page, the new pages page, the forums, and New Article Boost. *Wikipedia. I have an account there which I go on almost every day. *WikiAnswers. I have an account there as well. I’m a Supervisor (site term for a moderator) on the site. *Yahoo Mail *Google *GoNintendo (Nintendo news website) *Nintendo Everything (another Nintendo news website) *My Nintendo News (yet another Nintendo news website) *Miiverse (Nintendo social website - you can see how much I like Nintendo)

Lugia is a large bird Pokemon from the Pokemon video games, which is a series I enjoy. 2453 is just a random number I came up with that I like using for some reason. I use this username on every site I go to.

Firefox opens with my previous tabs: *Gmail is always in the first tab. *The Daily Good is usually in the second tab followed by the rest of the previously open tabs. Pinned Tabs *YouTube playlist of Alan Watts lectures/talks *YouTube playlist of Richard Feynman lectures/talks *TedTalks I love the retro wikiHow toolbar in FF! Patrol count, my patrols for the day, and new message alerts are always showing. Also, opening a new tab to my talk page message box is a single click. Right now, Safari opens the unclosed tabs from the previous session, usually just wikiHow WIP. (I miss the wikiHow toolbar in Safari, though).

Wow Ron, High fives for the Richard Feynman/TED talks ! I didn’t know you were into Theoretical Physics!

My username is easy. When I was in the army, you had something called a PID, Personal ID, and that was what you signed off work that was done.

My original username was “khluvr621”, which is still my main online alias. Just means “Kirk Hammett Lover” and my birthdate. Kirk Hammett is the lead guitarist of Metallica, and I created the name when I was a preteen. Maluniu derives from a street name I used to live on in Hawaii. I decided to change my name on wikiHow to it as a personal memorial for a mother of five whom was beaten to death by her ex about 2 blocks from my apartment on the same street about a year after I moved to the mainland.

@HelperT2895 Next time, maybe a separate thread instead of twining two? @Maluniu Your story will add depth and dimension to my thought constellation each time I see your user name. Mine user name is easy and self-explanatory. Serendipity is a well-known and much loved concept - Receipt of wonderful things/good fortune, unsought. The user name Serendipity is always taken, but Serendipitee never is. Also Serendipitee is more distinctive and memorable. I also have an elven name, Cirdan, which I use occasionally in conjunction with magical elven passwords.

As for my username, I came up with it because I had known of someone named Adelaide. I did actually have an old account before I created this one, but I’d prefer not to share my details with you. After I met the girl named Adelaide that I was referring to, that’s what I decided to name this account. Many of you that have known me for a while know that my username used to be “Adelaide1230”, before it was changed back in late May (after we came back from the Florida meetup). I’m not sure why I chose “1230”, but I decided to have it removed because I felt that I had “outgrown” it:wink:That’s my story.

I actually like “Serendipitee” better, so it’s a good thing you came up with that name. @Ttrimm I believe you were saying that Ttrimm was your ID in the army? I would also assume that people’s IDs in the army were usually their first initials and last names (as this applies to you).
