. We only allow linking in articles if it serves as a citation and comes from a neutral source; the linking you were doing in the forums is in violation of that, and the forum posts have been deleted.
We’re a really big target for spammers and people who want to do SEO or build backlinks. It’s a fairly fruitless venture seeing as we’re a no-follow site, but because we’ve had so many people try to take advantage of our reader’s trust in us, we’ve had to decide as a community to not allow linking from editors who don’t have a longstanding history of editing neutrally on wikiHow. People who try to promote their websites usually have their website blacklisted from wikiHow, and can get blocked.
