A blanked article with the {{copyviobot}} template showed up in the image picker app. This template should exclude the article from the image picker, no? http://www.wikihow.com/Survive-December-21%2C-2012?oldid=6592021&diff=6597352

No, it shouldn’t. An article without an intro image is still an article without an intro image, regardless of the templates used within.

You can still add an intro image if you want, or press “skip”. Some of the flagged articles end up getting kept so no harm in adding an intro image:slight_smile:

My concern is adding to articles that have been blanked when there’s already an image in the article. If the copyviobot (or copyvio) template is there and the article has been blanked pending querying of copyright status, addition of a new image when there was already one in the article (not showing up because the article is blanked per policy) would result in one of them having to be removed. I noticed it in RC, and I think that if we’ve got an article that just says “This article is a suspected copyright violation” and then has an intro image, it looks kinda weird. I do understand that some are kept, but I just wanted to make sure I clarified further.

Agreed, when I restore an article they typically have existing intro images. I would like to see these excluded from the image picker too.

Ahh, gotcha. This was raised in an earlier thread and is on the wikiHaus to-do list: http://forums.wikihow.com/discussion/1631/image-picker-app-articles-with-templates/ I’ll see if I can get it bumped a little higher in priority:slight_smile:

Bump. Not sure if this ever got dealt with, but it’s popping up again. http://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=Solve-Assassin’s-Creed-Brotherhood-Cluster-7&diff=7363122&oldid=7362281

Another one, FYI, in case it’s any help. http://www.wikihow.com/Earn-Lots-of-Farm-Cash-in-Farmville?oldid=7458063&diff=7464024
