Example at http://www.wikihow.com/User:SudoKing/interwiki_test
. It seems with interwiki links, wikiHow’s signature dash (-) for spaces is used whereas in a Wikipedia link it should be an underscore (_)

When I click on the link “wikipedia:Main Page” I get to the Wikipedia main page…what is the bug? The link doesn’t seem to be broken.

Main Page is probably a bad example. Check the page again. It’s supposed to link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-enveloped_virus
but it links to a non-existent http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-enveloped-virus
The reason for the main-page thing working is because they made a redirect to Main Page for that. There’s not a redirect for every
occurrence of a dash instead of underscore.

It works if you use the underscore in your link, or did you not want that?

this does work… but if the link is an interwiki to wikipedia, it should automatically parse the spaces as underscores. Some people wouldn’t know to add underscores before linking to Wikipedia, as this functionality is usually expected.

@SudoKing
Got it. How did you find this issue? Would you by any chance be able to post a link to an article where this bug has actually happened?
