It seems that everywhere I turn, articles with personality and from a different point of view are being gobbled up by clumps of generic advice expressed in the same tone. Whenever I look to the source, I see WRM and a group of editing fellows and interns. Granted, the articles that are stamped by editing fellows and interns have a more unique, interesting writing style and personality than WRM creations, but even those seem to be cast from the same mold. It seems to me that much of the diversity that drives the site is becoming skewed. I was wondering if others have seen a blanket of sameness start to settle over the site.

I know what you mean, especially when the tips usually follow “be yourself”, "keep trying"etc. One thing that needs to be beared in mind is that we see this from a birds eye view in the RCP tool, meaning that readers may not necessarily see more than one article on the subject as opposed to us editors that see any addition made. At the end of the day, if the content is useful in the context then it should remain the same and if it’s not useful or too obvious then it can be edited or deleted. I definitely see where you are coming from and it can just take a while until some articles flourish into featured article material that stands out in its own way.
