Recently, I noticed a few issues with the wikiHow android app. All of these issues were found on my Samsung Galaxy S9, running the latest version of Android that you possibly can on that phone, with the latest version of the wikiHow app.
The first issues is that on the wikiHow android app, if you try to open a bookmarked page that is saved offline, and you are offline, then the app tries to open up a web browser. It does not do this if you are online, which seems counter intuitive to me. When this happens, the default web browser will automatically open, and of course it won’t connect, because the user is offline (if there is no default, then you can prevent this, but most users have a default one selected). This essentially makes this feature impossible to use on the Android app.
The second issue that I found is that when you view articles, on the app, the “Learn why people trust wikiHow” message obscures the Categories at the top of the article, and it looks a little strange.
The third issue is that when you access a different language of wikiHow, the apps menu language does not change to the language that you are using wikiHow in. Also, it is not easy to change the language, you have to select it from the languages section on the Main Page, perhaps this should be made easier. I saw a lot of people complaining about this in the wikiHow app reviews on the Play Store.
And the last issue that I found was that when you accessed the “Contribute” page in the apps menu, it loads the desktop version of the Community Dashboard in the apps frame, and it is very zoomed in and hard to read. Perhaps this should instead open up the Community Dashboard in the browser, since the mobile browser will probably be able to handle the page better than the app.

Thanks for letting us know @R2_d2000
. We’re aware that the Android app needs some work, but given the limited usage we see on that versus the website, it’s not likely to receive engineering time at the moment. I will be sure to keep track of this for when we are able to give some love to the Android app!
With regard to the language, the menu language looks at your Android system language and picks from there, no matter what language you have chosen.
