I know category requests are on-hold, but I’d like to at least make a note of old templates I came across that should now be marked as abandoned. They are no longer used on any pages, due to the functionality of wikiHow’s site now being updated (post-2013).
I remember when I first came in 2011, they used to be shown at the top of the page, but the pages they were used on, no longer show any templates there. Can you abandoned-template the templates in WikiHow User Manual Templates - how to articles from wikiHow
and make this category a subpage of Abandoned Templates? Thank you.
If anyone who worked with these templates can chime in how they were utilized, that would be much appreciated, because I never utilized them very much back in the day, so could never really utilize them in a way that would be productive here. Don’t know how many pages - if any pages - these are used on.

These definitely do look old and unused, but this wouldn’t be something we would want to spend too much time on. I think it would be fine for you to go through if you want, but they’re not doing any harm as is
Ok. I’ve taken up the task of marking most of the templates as Abandoned. However, we’re down to just one template in the category and I feel it should be recategorized somewhere’s else. The only one now in the category also exists on the Unused Templates page, but in the past has been used as a template on a special page only certain people were allowed to post on. Can you help with clarifying where it can go?
I was gently opposed to moving it to WikiHow Functions, yet it’s not really anything else.

We will need to leave that where it is. We definitely don’t want to mess up anything to do with the RSS feed!
Actually, a check of the RSS feed edit page goes, it doesn’t show that template in use either. It shows it as the text being copied to the top of the page and the actual feed of entries, but no use of the template exists. https://www.wikihow.com/wikiHow:RSS-feed?action=edit

I understand, but I still think it’s best to leave it as is. We have two different types of RSS feeds.
