I noticed that the Pages with ignored display titles category showed up on Wanted Categories . It looks like this category needs to be created in order to prevent that.

That seems like an auto-populated MediaWiki maintenance category. Generally, we do not use DISPLAYTITLE because as far as I have heard, if it is used incorrectly it can break things server side.

I see, but clearly there is an article that is using DISPLAYTITLE, so having a maintenance category would probably be good to find such articles.

Yep. I agree. Have you checked whatlinkshere? Also, there is a parameter ?useformat=desktop that takes you back to the old view.

I removed it for now, but I agree that we need to include all the default maintenance categories in wikiHow’s category hierarchy. Maybe there should be a top level category called “Maintenance” where we have all our wikiHow maintenance stuff instead of having it be a subcategory of “wikiHow”.

I remember a couple of weeks ago when this category reared it’s ugly head the first time, and @JayneG told me that they were thinking of creating this maintenance category. Apparently, that hasn’t been done - and it’s reared itself again.

I chatted with Chris about this, and because we don’t use these categories regularly as part of our tree, it’s best just to remove them when they show up. We won’t likely be creating a category for them at this stage.
