Was bored in math class today (geometry) so I decided to try and figure out my odds of rolling doubles with 2 unweighted dice. Seeing as the chance of doubles is 1/6 (0.167%), we can make this equation to figure out how low our chances are for rolling doubles any amount of times in a row.
Y=0.167^X
Y: chance of rolling doubles X timesX: amount of times (in a row) you rolled doubles

I have tested this equation up to 5 doubles, but stopped there because my phone’s calculator started going into scientific notation, which I don’t speak.

The chance of doubles is 1/6, not 1/36, but the rest of your formula is correct

Made a typo, thanks so much!
