When I’m answering questions about health, oftentimes there are people asking questions that are too specific/not very relevant to be added as Q&A to the respective article, but are still important. Could there not be a place to answer specific questions like those, even if the answer only applies to that one person who asked?

In general, we gear wikiHow towards helping readers on a larger scale, rather than providing a one-on-one help service. The Q&A section is similarly geared towards questions and situations that are relatively likely to apply to a larger group… that being said, they can often get fairly specific and still help multiple readers, though! It’s sometimes surprising to see how even somewhat personal-seeming Q&As can get thumbs up votes from lots of other folks, too. When you provide an answer, you can also tweak the actual question, too, so there are some cases where you can end up helping both the asker and other readers at the same time with a little adjusting. For example, you might take out any overly personal references but still leave the general gist of the question, and answer it with your expertise. Does that make sense? It’s sort of an opportunity to help that main person and others, all in one:slight_smile:

To expand upon what Anna wrote, we generally remove or generalize detailed personal backstories, names of people, ages or genders if specifics are not important for the question, as well as simplifying the question as much as possible to get the gist of it.
