Whenever I try to answer a question on wikiHow logged in of course
, it gets infinitely stuck loading after pressing the send or whatever button. This has been happening for a few days. Help

Hi @AmongUsIsC00l
could you please help with a few extra details? Are you answering the question in the AnswerQuestions
tool or directly on the article?
It’d also be great to know if anyone else is having this same issue - so please post a note if you’ve answered any questions lately!
I have been answering directly from the article.

Thanks @AmongUsIsC00l
- is it still happening? Can you please let me know what device and browser you’re using?
I can confirm that when answering directly from the article (this does not happen in the answering tool in the community dashboard) it does not send, gets stuck on a ‘loop’. I am using a Windows 7 Laptop with Firefox. Here is my user agent if it helps: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:98.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/98.0. I might be able to see if I can get footage of it so you can see exactly what is happening.

Thanks for all the info! Is anyone else also having this issue?
Not that I know of right now.

For the small selection of article questions/answers i answer, i haven’t had this problem- ever. Maybe a browser or add-on extension-use issue.

Good call, Chris. Extensions and add-ons can often cause issues that others aren’t able to replicate!
@JayneG
Here is a list of all add-ons I have enabled in my Firefox Browser:
Adblocker for YouTube by AdblockLite
Browsec VPN
Chrome Dinosaur Game for Firefox
FlashPlayer - SWF to HTML
Google Translator for Firefox
Grammarly for Firefox
LastPass
YouTube Redux
YouTube Restore dislike.
I can confirm this does not happen in the Answering tool. Only when answering directly from the article.
I can also confirm this also happens on Microsoft Edge in addition to Firefox, which has no extensions installed.
I also now have footage of this bug: wikiHow Q&A Bug - YouTube
Do you have cookies disabled or blocked?
As far as I know, cookies are not blocked. I have also tried clearing cookies. Nothing changed in either my Firefox Browser or Microsoft edge browser nor my laptop before this started happened

I’d recommend disabling your extensions one by one and seeing if one of them is causing the issue
I can confirm that Microsoft Edge has no extensions installed, but I will try tomorrow
I did some testing. Submitting the answer then refreshing the page seems to get rid of the question. Not sure if it actually submits the answer or if it deletes it off the site. Happens with and without my browser extensions
