Whenever I try to type in those question boxes, the letters sometimes don’t even show up. Even the space bar doesn’t seem to register all the time. For example, if I try to type in the question box “Pictures and Fun”, (and you type it slowly enough for the bug to appear) you get “Pcuscuand Fn”. Well, that’s what I got. Another user also saw the same problem. Is this a bug? Thanks!

@Blackcats-Awesome
, sounds funky! The Q&A feature is still really new and experimental, so I haven’t really played around with it yet. But I do know that Jordan and Alissa are testing and exploring a lot of different layouts and potential features on that one to figure out the way forward with it… so some bugginess might be coming out of that. I will let Jordan know! Thanks for the heads-up!

An update: Jordan just pushed out a fix that we’re hoping helps with that issue; logged-in editors should see it right away, and logged out will see it in the next day or so. My typing looked smooth to me when I just tested it out - hopefully the same for you!
The same thing happened to me earlier while I was on a school computer, but now it does indeed seem to be fixed. What was happening was that it wasn’t always registering keys that were put into it. I remember having to press a key 3 times for it to go through. I think it might have been expecting a slower typing speed, which would’ve meant that the fast typers like me and others would’ve had to slow down in our typing. I personally see that as a bummer, especially if you want to stick to your preferred speed.
Yup, it’s fixed now–thanks though!

Glad to hear it is fixed @Blackcats
Awesome! As you know I tried it for you, no wonder I had never heard of it before @Anna
, sounds like a great idea for articles so I guess I am going to have to play around with it.

Yeah, it’s definitely still in its infancy (maybe, toddlerhood??) so I’m really excited to see where it goes. Early question submissions and helpfulness ratings for the pages with Q&As suggest that readers really find it helpful, and from a personal perspective, it seems neat and helpful to me
– Jordan is still developing some other parts of the feature and experimenting a bit with what kinds of layouts readers find most helpful so it’s most certainly still evolving, but once it’s all standing on firm ground, we’ll put together a post about it so that nobody misses it. Call it a “work in progress” for now and watch this space
