I think this should be deleted. It advices 5th grade students to do some illegal. The article is http://www.wikihow.com/Know-if-Your-5th-Grade-Girlfriend/Crush-Wears-a-Bra

There’s nothing illegal about it.

It is such a bad thing. Do wikiHow teaches such bad things?

It’s called curiosity. There is nothing wrong with a man or even a boy being curious.

I had a go at improving it. Boys can be nosy little tikes, seems harmless to me, compared with the advice given to little children to flirt and the highly dubious article about incest that is around at the moment. I have learnt that the very strong views of one person are not enough to make a change here vs. All the, “meh” folks.

What if that small boy go ahead? And what would happen if a adult would see it? See I am talking about the whole Earth. This is really a bad thing in some parts of world.

I think this article promotes an ‘‘unhealthy’’ sexual attention of the 5th graders. I emphasize - for the 5th graders. The 11-12 years old are too little for it. That’s just my opinion. As far as deleting it I would tag it and let the voters decide.

In conservative societies like in some parts of India, maybe. In free and open societies like most parts of America, not so much. As for deleting it, I don’t see the reasoning behind it. As has been said several times before, wikiHow is not the moral police. There’s nothing wrong with natural human curiosity, anyway. Societies change, folks. A modern day kid’s outlook on love is much different than how it was three decades ago. But I’m stating the obvious. There’s nothing in the deletion policy about this. What would you tag it for? Sexually charged content? Seriously though, next time you’re in doubt about what to delete, just glance through the deletion policy. It’s a must read.

"Seriously though, next time you’re in doubt about what to delete, just glance through the deletion policy. It’s a must read’. ----------------------- My strong opinion - if the deletion policy allows “how to hack” (school’s computer, or someone’s else private computer etc.) articles then a “deletion policy” must be changed. I am strongly against those articles on wikiHow and therefore I never edit them.

Laura, Hacking is actually perfectly legal, and very highly encouraged. I’m referring to ethical hacking, of course, in which a hacker tries to find security vulnerabilities in a system, which can then be reported and fixed by a systems administrator. It’s all about how something is used. Knowledge is power. How you use that power is up to you. Any article on wikiHow is a double edged sword. Information can be used for the better, or for the worse. Personally, I feel that staging a silent revolution isn’t the way forward. If you don’t like an article, improve it! We are a do-ocracy, after all. The deletion policy isn’t just a random list of points put together by one person. They’re the result of days and weeks of collaborative debates and discussion. It’s amazing that such a large pool of editors have been able to find common ground for so many years.

New favorite word.:slight_smile:Anyway, this is a topic that has been controversial ever since wikiHow was first made. Personally, I feel that the article is stupid. But it’s not my place to judge whether these articles should be allowed or not. As a community, it’s been decided that these articles will be allowed. Now, as said above, if it were to be nominated for anything, sexual content would probably be the best category. And I’m not going to lie, the topic is somewhat sexual. However, I don’t personally feel that it’s sexual enough to be deleted. If others have a different opinion than me, please be my guest and leave a note on the discussion page as to why it should be deleted. When it goes through NFD Guardian, I’m sure that these messages would be considered when someone votes on it. I’m linking this forum thread on the discussion page so that voters can get more opinions when it goes through.

Might be a universal illegal the tag for it.

We are not talking about only two nations here, we are talking about every country where this site is available. So we should wait for someone from other country to see this discussion.

You’re not getting it, RG. The point is that there’s nothing illegal being taught here. It is just your false presumption that asking a girl if she wears a bra is universally illegal, because it isn’t. Why do you want to delete it anyway? Because it’s morally incorrect? I’ll stress on this, we are not the moral police. What’s right and what’s wrong is ultimately the reader’s choice. No one’s forcing them to read and follow this article if they don’t want to. We don’t delete articles because they’re morally incorrect. Read the deletion policy.

Yeah in moral police you are right man, Absolutely right. Let’s see what the discussion page says.

Well, I think the boy and the girl are much to young to be even thinking of such things, and it is none of the boys business if she is or isn’t wearing a bra. I vote to delete this article.

I saw a 7 year old frenching with her girlfriend the other day lol I dont think this is a problem haha

I agree with deletion

I’m not quite sure that we need an article on that.:slight_smile:Anyway, if someone is Googling this information, it’s pretty clear that they already are thinking of it. I don’t think having an article on it would be “encouraging” them to do it, per se. That being said, I do think there should probably be some serious warnings on the bottom detailing why it might be inappropriate to do this. As I said before, I think this article is really stupid and unnecessary, but it’s not my place to be lecturing kids about their behavior. If their parents see an issue with it, that’s completely understandable. In this case, the parents should probably sit down with their kids and have a discussion about it. Overall though, I don’t think the article clearly breaks any of the standards set out in the Deletion Policy, so I don’t think it should be deleted.

To give a warning is a good idea. I had saw one warning in a hacking article too. “Just for education…”
