I was wondering if we could add another sub-category in the World Cuisines category that contains recipes that are of Slavic origin. This will mainly cover recipes that are Russian, Polish, Hungarian, Czech, Slovak, Romanian, Ukrainian, Slovenian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, etc. since all these countries are of Slavic origin. I thought since I write a lot of Slavic recipes that we could have a sub-category for it? I’ll also willingly hunt up all the recipes too.

Would people recognize the phrase “Slavic” for that type of cuisine definition? Or could it sum the countries up with another word? I could work with it if the former question was agreed on:wink:

I don’t know any other word that ‘groups’ them together unfortunately. From what I have learned, that seems to be the only one I know of. That’s what comes up when you type in a search engine “slavic countries” or people. Also, they’re grouped like that on Wikipedia too.

http://www.wikihow.com/Category:Slavic-Cuisine - go for it. I also left the ‘introduction’ blank, so feel free to expand on the description for what countries this category entails. Just be sure that it tells readers (and categorizers) the difference from the Middle Eastern Cuisine category:wink:Have fun.

Thank you! And I will.

Thanks both Sakae and Maluniu for getting this one going. All that cold weather filling food!
