Actually, I should have told you guys four years ago, but I was kind of sensitive on this topic. @Phoenix-XinX I’m actually Muslim. I used to think Muslims would be treated differently, with Islamophobia and the tag of terrorism all the time. But being with you guys for four years has shown me that you guys are different. You guys are awesome and tolerant. For example, we have a lot of LGBTQIA+ users here, we have Christians, there may be Jews, we even had a Satanist! A lot of our users are also atheists, but everyone is doing well here! So I just wanted to say this to you guys. This is also the reason I’m a bit behind on wikiHow these days, I’m fasting and also trying to finish reading the Qur’an this month of Ramadan! I’m also preparing for Eid.

Ah, nevermind. It’s not that important.

That’s good to know. Thanks for sharing.

Glad you feel comfortable enough around us to tell us. Your religion doesn’t change the way we treat you.

i consider you a bestie (not sure tho if thats ok and cause of that cutie pa-toot-tee kitty) and i still see ya as one so dont worry even when i havent been on hear for even a half year yet

We’re all different and unique here; your religion doesn’t matter at all:slight_smile:

It’s so awesome you felt comfortable letting us know!

Gracias, Kyle

Thank you for sharing. Its good to know we have such diversity in our community.

I’ll share too if you don’t mind my hijacking your thread a little bit. I am an atheist. I am 99.999% certain that no one here will have a problem with that. I know that as I respect the various faiths of others, they respect my disbelief in any sort of deity. I know Religions have formed the world to be the way it is. Many of the earliest scholars practiced religion and it was through their exploration of faith they learned about astrology, maths, medicine and more! The world would be poorer without cathedrals and temples and mosques, these buildings are beautiful and building them taught architects things used in other buildings. The placement of these buildings shaped towns and cities to be the way they are all over the world. Religions have helped literature, art and music develop. Laws are based on religions. I don’t have a religion, but I can see the good things it has given humanity. I am an atheist because I can’t believe in one god. I can’t get my head or my heart to belive the bible or any other religious books. To me, they are stories, I can learn from them, but, I can’t believe what they say actually happened. I also dislike the fact that a lot of religions don’t have female leaders in terms of priests, imams, bishops etc. I know there are goddesses in some religions that are worshipped but the majority of mainstream religions are very male dominated. An all powerful, loving god surely doesnt prefer their elevated servants to be a particular gender? I think there is a basis of truth in a lot of religious writting, as their is in many myths and legends, but, I just can’t believe in a deity, it simply doesn’t make sense to me, it doesn’t feel right. I’ve been asked to explore spirituality, but, I can’t find a definition of it that I can get behind. It’s based on peoples spirits, I don’t believe in spirits. I dislike labels, that’s why I’m HumanBeing here. I’m labelling myself atheist because, people have a right to know that I guess…and, I’m talking about it here because when religion is being discussed, I’m happy to state my non-belief. When people are talking about age, gender, sexual preference I don’t label myself, hence HumanBeing. == Edited ===

:slight_smile:It’s always good to see people share their thoughts.

You’ll still be my Oneesama, @TheYoungWriter !

Good ;D

=D

wikiHow is an accepting community. I know it’s hard to say these things incase (is incase one word or two? Who knows?) you get treated differently, I felt like this when I mentioned I was gay for the first time on wikiHow. People are more accepting than you think.

In case is two words xD And I forgot you were lesbian! True, wikiHow accepts everyone.

Everyone’s right, this community really *is* quite accepting. I have things that I’ve never told anyone that I’d be more comfortable saying here than to people I talk to offline.
