While dealing with another issue today, I came up with a major suggestion I feel should be implemented. I know our user pages list only the most current 100 articles created, but what if we wanted to give a log of the remainder of articles created to another user? Not so fast, if your about ready to tell me that page that exists under your Answered Articles. When I asked @Krystle , she said a log like this doesn’t exist. Today, I actually found a person that likes publishing screenshots, and although most of my current articles don’t have the screenshot tag, there were others that Iknew were major enough many hundred ago. If we had one, I could’ve given this user this log link to all my articles I began the creation of. I don’t want to sound like I want to push mine over others, but this would’ve given this user a wider range of other articles I’ve created that she could’ve chosen from that’s available to her too.

Though such a log doesn’t exist, you can find the all the articles you’ve started here: http://www.wikihow.com/Special:YourArticles This will, however, not serve the purpose of sharing all your articles with another user (unless you want to copy-paste that special page).

Hm… I think you might be able to copy/paste the list of YourArticles into something like Word… delete out all but the list of titles… then paste the cleaned up list onto a page like this one… by adding the square brackets to each end of your titles. http://www.wikihow.com/User:Loiswade42/Articles I’ve done a bit more formatting and record keeping with mine beyond the simple list, but this would get you started on the sort of list you were asking for. You would then need to add only your new articles to the list as you create them.

Much easier with a log developed by the company @loiswade42 .

-shrugs- Yes… but it’s not something you have to wait for an engineer to program and implement… (wide grin)

I just remembered there might be a way to do this using templates: http://www.wikihow.com/Show-a-List-of-the-Articles-You-Have-Started-on-Your-wikiHow-User-Page Maybe use {{#ARTICLESSTARTED:5|box}} but instead of “5” use a big number like 5000?

That worked. As long as it’s put on the userpage, I learned. I used 1500. That’s ample enough amount for right now.

that’s silly:P just do {{ #ARTICLESSTARTED:0 }}. It auto adjusts to the number of articles you have created.

I removed some indonesian spam from the thread. Translation was: “engines selling skewers, toothpicks, engine.” Just thought you’d like to know why the thread suddenly had ‘unread’ messages again.

Indonesian spam?

That’s what they wrote ^^ here in the forum. Just letting folks know… because the thread looks “written in, commented on”… and you might click, and wonder why there was nothing new. Perhaps I should have skipped the “FYI” message ?
