I first noticed this late last week and thought it was an isolated bug, but it’s happening again so I think there is a technical issue. Basically I can post talk page messages to others, but when other editors try to post a message on my own talk page, I get an email notification though nothing shows up on the site indicating I have a new message. There’s no indication new messages in my talk page history either, though I’ve found out via email that I have received new messages since the last one on August 16th. Using Windows 7, Chrome (latest version)

That has happened exactly to me before. I would suggest archiving it, but I really don’t know. I got help from June Days, so you may be able to ask her, or, you can ask other experienced wikiHowians. Sorry – don’t really know how to solve the problem. I would archive it or ask others and see others’ suggestions. It’s normal, though.:slight_smile:You can also look at your talk page, scroll up, and click History. You can see who last edited and see if that was the last message you received them from. If not, you know that you really have gotten messages. TTYL <3

@CiCiLovesKatniss Not sure why archiving would have anything to do with it. The last message sent to my talk page that went through properly was on August 16, but all of the messages I’ve received after that do not show up there or in the page history either. It’s a pretty frustrating issue, since being able to properly communicate with other editors via talk page is essential on wikiHow.

Edit: Now I can’t send talk page messages to others. I can type the message, but when I click Post it just disappears and doesn’t show up anywhere that I sent a message. Getting strange… Screencast of the outgoing messages issue http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/clj0ojsTo

Good point, however, when the same thing happened to me I archived it and it somehow worked.:slight_smile:

Update: All seems to be working normally now. I’ll still keep an eye on this though.:slight_smile:

@Ttrimm I posted so many things on your wall and even patrolled many messages send to you but I don’t see anything on your wall.Maybe you should archive.

I don’t see how that would make a difference, but I have ‘archived’.

well…got the first talk page message in over a week after emptying my talk page. Can’t think of why that would make a difference.

It happened with me! It said something like out of page memory.
