Lately I’ve noticed a lot of forum threads that either are saying “hey, my article is nominated to become a Featured Article, please vote!” or “hey, please edit my new article”. I’ve seen them in Collaboration Corner mostly, but also General Chat. Honestly, I don’t think they fit perfectly in either. We can’t blame the users who’ve posted these, because they absolutely don’t violate any of our forum rules or general site policies. They’re just kind of annoying. My proposal is to consolidate all of these threads into one or two mass threads (preferably one) which would be stickied to the top of a forum to be determined (probably Collaboration Corner?). For those who remember, we used to have seven hundred bazillion [citation needed] wikiBreak threads in General Chat. It was totally annoying. Then an enterprising young gent made a mass wikiBreak thread, and the clutter was cut down ( http://forums.wikihow.com/discussion/2217/ultimate-wikihow-wiki-break-thread/p1

^^ Not a bad idea. ^ You might want to move your thread to Collaboration Corner in order to make it clear that you are serious.
It seems like a good idea but, in my opinion, it would get a little hard to keep track of who’s giving advice to you and the like. I support nonetheless.

I’m happy for these to be announced In collaboration Corner, it’s not a busy place normally.

^^ I’m in agreement with Dave. Collaboration Corner seems a logical place for this.
I’m with Dave and Lois on this one. I don’t see that it happens so frequently that other discussions are being drowned out.
