Summary
I changed the dates on the screenshots since they are age-revealing. And I censored out some info for internet safety
This was one of the only times I got 140 WPM. It’s very difficult to achieve!

When i first learned how to type, my speed was 7 wpm, but now that has become almost 90-100 wpm.

Ah, this gave me WAY too much nostalgia to be dealing with at 6:30 in the morning-
yeah it’s april break and when there’s no school i am a weirdly early riser for some reason
Anyway, I just did the 5 minute typing test on typing.com
… had to create an account so that’s why I’m only “typing seedling” lol( in school they never made us sign up as we didn’t do many of the actual lessons, we mostly just played the games and occasionally took the tests)

Lol I might need to find some screenshots or do a typing lesson rn, but my average is usually 70-80, maybe 90 on a good day.
But Iris, how do you type 140 wpm???You’re like a speed typer or something! That’s literally IMPOSSIBLE!!
Truth is, I think the world record is 300.

True, since 8th grade was the last year I used TypingClub. Before that, I’d typed since 1st grade, so you guys know how many years I’ve typed lol.
^And that was the only time(maybe I did it twice though) I typed on average, 140 wpm for a lesson. It was because I was competing with some other boys who were typing 140 wpm on their lessons.

Edit: I found the game my middle school used! It’s still from TypingClub but it has more than 100 lessons (it’s called Typing Jungle) since every once in a while there is a typing game involving a ninja, and you have to type the words that show up on the screen to slice them (since you are the ninja):
