I was thinking that when I was on my wikiBreak I missed a lot of stuff. Like the updates, the app release and probably more. Would it be possible, for users to if they wantbe sent emails with updates? Obviously they would have to have email enabled. What do you guys think?
I don’t know how long was your wikibreak but wikiHow’s apps (on Android and iOS) has existed for a long time (more than 1.5 years).
In regards to the iOS app, I believe it’s being rewritten entirely, which is why there are some users testing it for bugs. I think the best way for you to get caught up is to simply ask someone if you missed anything. Taking a wild guess here, if your wikiBreak started around the time school started (couple months back), then the only major thing you missed was the redesign (sending feedback, reporting bugs). The change most people notice after a wikiBreak is an increase in regular editors. You can also read over the forums (Village Pump) during your spare time to catch up on any news or announcements… I’ve stopped editing for a bit but often lurk the forums
