Hi,
Most of you guys probably don’t remember me but I was super active on wikiHow about a year and a half ago. It was during this time that I was learning the ropes of highschool and wikiHow was a big part of my life. I felt really strongly about a lot of social issues which led me to start 3 articles relating to topics I was passionate about and I won rising star awards on all 3 of them. Needless to say, life slapped me in the face for a good while and I was unable to keep contributing as I’d liked to (blah blah loss a bunch of personal stuff I’m not gonna get into). I wanted to ask if it was okay with you guys if I listed some of my accomplishments on this site in my resume for when I apply to college soon. My articles have obviously been edited by several other people so I don’t know what/if there even is a procedure regarding this but I just don’t wanna do anything that may be a little bit morally dubious on my application. I love this community and it has meant a lot to me over the years and it would mean the world to me if I could reflect that in my college application
Thanks for reading and sorry for the long paragraph LOL

I’m going to college in a few years too, and I’ve always wondered if it’s fine to include wikiHow (which counts as volunteering work) in college apps. Pretty sure it’s fine- plus, wikiHow has influenced us a lot and broadened our life experiences.
I thought about going to college when I’m old enough, but I decided not to, I want to become a racehorse trainer and I want to start young.Edit: I may have to go to college for a degree, but I hope not.

I was telling my friend the other night how I was unsure of how I even stumbled onto here but it helped foster my love of writing & I’m going for a journalism degree too
I just needed someone to say including it wasn’t gonna like make then world explode and get me kicked off of here lol
You are absolutely free to mention your volunteer wikiHow experience in your college applications and job resumes, and I definitely encourage people to do so! I did it when I applied for college and jobs, and wikiHow is listed as volunteer experience in my resume and LinkedIn profile.
Good luck!
