There are so many articles protected to admins only (Kyle Hall protected two articles in the past 15 minutes) that I would like to implement extended confirmed right as seen in Wikipedia, to wikiHow.

This right would automatically be granted to any registered user with 500+ edits and 30+ days. This right would allow users to edit extended confirmed protected pages. If implemented, most articles protected to admins only would be lessen the protection level to extended confirmed users.

Given there are relatively few admins, this proposed right would increase openness to constructive contributions while minimising spam.

Got a warning message when adding an NFD to Show Gratitude to Your Friend that it would remove a "popular article" from the search results. Considering it has 43 views, this struck me as a bit odd :)

I recall moving a page with a fairly large amount of views (I think it was this one )—it's been 2 months+ since, it shows the popular page warning now, and I don't think my past self would have moved it, had that warning showed up earlier. Was that alright, or should I avoid moving pages with large amounts of views, even when they didn't show the warning, weren't authored by a staff account and don't have a custom title?

Regarding you sent to admins they cannot edit the quizzes, is it because wikiHow is planning to upgrade MediaWiki from 1.33 (unsupported) to a supported version (eg. 1.43)?

If so, I can finally use MediaWiki features introduced between 1.34 and 1.43 on wikiHow, such as defined CSS variables, appearance section (font size, width and dark mode) (both introduced in 1.43), {{ = }} magic word (introduced in 1.39) and searching in user preferences (introduced in 1.40).

Because I'm assuming it's a certain amount of contributions, however, I've answered multiple questions and it hasn't added to my contributions. I'm just passing by. A YouTube channel uploaded a video of my friend without her permission, and it went viral. She wants to get it removed, but there’s no proper guide on how to do it. So, I wrote one myself. I thought I could finish it in an hour, but I ended up spending two days on it!

I also have a suggestion regarding the article title. There are actually three ways to remove your video from YouTube, mainly through copyright claims or privacy violations. This article focuses on the privacy aspect, so updating the title accordingly would be helpful.

I recently asked Donagan why the patrol system is unreliable with holding skips. However, when they returned their response, they mentioned that you set it up for them that way. Why does it take up to a week for skips to return to all q&a patrollers queues? (Hard to explain.)

Jayne, for the leaderboards' 31-day report: I think it's either counting skips within the number or not resetting to view just the last 31 days, because totalling them up doesn't equal what was initially in the queue. (I do realize that new answers are included in the tally, but I don't think it's half as much as what's listed.)

Since we are now down to just one top-level category in QnA Patrol, why is there a difference in total between the last one singly (Personal Care and Style) and the total number? Could this difference be the total of pairs I've authored last summer? It's about 424 (and such) to a total of 540(or so).

That lime color in Template:Gamingfactoftheday only has a contrast ratio of 1.37, which doesn't meet AA or AAA guidelines, so I would like to change to #008a00, which has a contrast ratio of 4.53, which meets AAA guidelines for large text (>24px/18pt normal or >19px/14pt bold). Thanks.

That's unfortunate, given a few weeks ago, wikiHow removed the CC license for future contributions. CC is less restrictive than wikiHow User Content License Grants and it allows users to reuse content outside wikiHow.

I specified CC BY-SA 4.0 as it is also used in Wikimedia wikis, Miraheze and skyHow, and it allows commerical use.

I don't want to remove this floating message, but do you have an alternative to removing?

I regret this CC removal, but instead of it, wikiHow should have upgraded MediaWiki to 1.43 as MediaWiki 1.33 used is a unsupported, obsolete version.

I'm looking to solicit some additional feedback just for breadth :) For context, Christopher asked if I could include some fixed date holidays into the template and gave Christmas as an example. It wasn't my intention when starting out as I was solely envisioning something that calculated variable dates, but there's definitely a strong argument for adding the "minor" holidays. I couldn't tell you when Groundhog Day is, for example, so there's probably a big value add with regards to those. But everybody knows when Christmas/New Years/Halloween are. With that context, I'll copy and paste the message I just sent to him: "Just to spitball potential ideas with regards to the Holiday template, what would you think about a countdown to Christmas/New Years on those articles rather than displaying the fixed date, or perhaps even both?"

While the app was troublesome (though not completely unused in my life), it acted alright - up until I discovered it was littered with that in-browser hijacker, and the only way to remove the hijacker was to remove that app.

I had to give up on color-picker apps in-browser because there are soooo many with this hijacker attached. But maybe that was good: I used it maybe 4 times since I installed it, and more of that was used due to UIB recoloring that I can do another way to determine what color is what code.
