Touchscreen Printers

Press the Settings button on your printer's touchscreen. The button has an icon of a wrench and screwdriver. Before beginning, make sure your printer is plugged in and powered on, and you have your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password on hand.

Navigate to All Settings > Network > WLAN . You may or may not have the All Settings button present. If not, skip that button and select Network > WLAN .Advertisement

Select Find Wi-Fi Network or Setup Wizard . Depending on the model of printer you have, you may see either of these options.

Select Yes at the next screen. The screen will ask either "Enable WLAN?" or "Switch Network Interface to wireless?" . Once you select Yes , the printer will begin searching for wireless networks.

Find your SSID in the provided list. Use the up and down arrows on the printer to scroll through the list.
- Press OK when you find your Wi-Fi network on the list.

Enter your Wi-Fi password. Once you do so, press OK . The printer will attempt to connect to the network. If it is successful, the screen will say Connected .

Download and install your printer's drivers. Once your printer is connected to the internet, go to Brother's support site , search for your printer model, and download the Full Driver & Software Package application. Install this application and run it, then follow the on-screen instructions to install your printer's driver. [1] X Research source

Press the WiFi button on your printer. The button may have an icon of a Wi-Fi signal next to it. Before beginning, make sure your printer is plugged in and powered on, and you have your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password on hand.
- If your printer doesn't have a WiFi button, try pressing the Menu or Settings button instead. You will then have to scroll and select Network from the main menu to continue with the next steps.

Select Find Wi-Fi Network in the list of options. Use the up and down arrow buttons on the printer to scroll through the list, if necessary.
- Once you have it highlighted, press the OK button on the printer.

Press the right arrow ( â–¶ ) button on the printer. The screen will be asking if you want to enable WLAN, with an option for yes and an option for no. Pressing the right arrow button tells the printer "yes."

Find your SSID in the provided list. Use the up and down arrows on the printer to scroll through the list.
- Press OK when you find your Wi-Fi network on the list.

Enter your Wi-Fi password. To do this, use the arrow buttons to highlight the letters on the on-screen keyboard, then press OK to confirm the selection. Repeat this for all the characters in your Wi-Fi password.
- Once you are done, press OK . The printer will attempt to connect to the network. If it is successful, the screen will say Connected .
