In this article we'll teach you how to connect a Smart Keyboard and Keyboard Folio, Magic Keyboard and Keyboard Folio, and a third-party Bluetooth keyboard to your iPad.

Connecting Smart, Magic, or Bluetooth Keyboards to iPad

The Smart and Magic Keyboards (and Keyboard Folios) connect to your iPad easily using magnetic connectors, meaning you don't need to use Bluetooth at all. Simply connect the iPad to the keyboard via the Smart Connector to start using it. Bluetooth keyboards can be connected like any other Bluetooth device.

    To do this, fold the back of the Smart Keyboard into a triangle and rest your iPad on it, ensuring the iPad is sitting in the groove above the number keys. The keyboard should be in front of your iPad.

    Make sure that the Apple logo is visible on the top and that the hinge is opposite you.
