Do you want to copy a WhatsApp message and send it somewhere else? You can copy text to your phone's clipboard by long-pressing the chat. If you're using a computer, you'll need to manually highlight the text and copy it. This wikiHow teaches you how to select and copy a chat message in WhatsApp Messenger using an iPhone, Android, or computer.
Steps

Open WhatsApp on your Android. The WhatsApp icon looks like a white telephone in a green speech bubble. You can find it on your Apps tray.

Navigate to a chat. Tap the Chats tab on the bottom you want to copy a message from.
- If WhatsApp opens up to a different chat conversation, tap the back button on the top-left to return to your Chats list.

Tap and hold the message you want to copy. This will highlight the message in blue, and show your options on a toolbar at the top of your screen. [1] X Research source

Tap the Copy icon. This icon looks like a square in front of another square. It will copy the selected chat message to your Android's clipboard.
- You can now paste the copied message to another chat or any other text field on your phone.
- To paste the copied message, tap and hold any text field, and select PASTE on the pop-up menu.

Open the WhatsApp desktop app. You can also use WhatsApp in a browser at https://web.whatsapp.com/ .
- If you aren't already logged in, do so now.
- While there's no built-in option to copy texts on the desktop app or website, you can still manually copy and paste the text.

Navigate to a chat. You can find all your open chats in the left panel.

Highlight the chat you want to save. Click and drag your cursor from the beginning of the text to the end of the text.

Paste the text into another program. You can use Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or another website. Right-click an empty text field, and select Paste .
