Watching videos on YouTube can be great, but what if you want to watch it later when you're not online, or you want to transfer it to your phone? You'll need to download the video in order to do that. Follow this guide to learn how to download the videos and watch them later.

  1. In order to download a video in high definition, the video must be available as a high definition stream. Click on the gear icon at the bottom of the video. If 720p or 1080p are available options, then you can download the video in high definition.
  2. These websites will take the URL for the video that you want to download, and present you with download links. Many of them work for YouTube and other video sites.
