Popularly known as “ricezempic,” the rice hack involves soaking unrinsed white rice in warm water overnight and drinking the water after straining the rice out. Some variations involve adding the juice from a lime or lemon to the starchy water before you consume it, and some say that you need to drink it in the morning before you eat anything.

The idea is that the rice water is high in something called resistant starch, which is highly nutritious. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any evidence that drinking rice water will help you lose weight. That said, there’s nothing in rice water that would be bad for you (again, it’s pretty nutritious), so if you want to give this a shot, go for it!
